Keeping your flag clean is an important step to good flag maintenance. Not only will flag cleaning extend the life of your flag, but doing so will make it easier for your audience to see your message. Most  fabric protectants  that are used on flags help protect your flag from sun exposure also makes cleaning easier. In most cases, a simple wipe down with a soft cloth that has been dampened with warm water will be enough. For those times when there is significant grime and debris on your flag, though, you can start by gently brushing as much of the debris off the surface as possible.
